Cold Soccer Games

My kids both got signed up for soccer and this past Saturday was their first soccer games. It turns out that it was the coldest day since we have been here!! We usually have really nice weather but Sat. it was 40 and the wind was blowing fiercely. We had chairs, blankets, umbrella's to stop the wind, heavy coats etc. However, they both had fun and enjoyed it. We were never so ready to jump in that car and head home.

THIS, my friend, is why we used the power of suggestion on our kids this year. "Titus dear, you are sooo much better at basketball than you are at soccer...I sure would love to see you out on the court again this year...No, dear, you cannot play soccer AND basketball in the same season-- you'll just have to choose..."

The temps have been hovering around -2 degrees here this week. :)

TOFTG - We learn so much from you! L

What dedicated parenting to sit on the cold sidelines cheering. I think I'd have been yelling from the window of my car!
